Programme Structure Graduate Profile
The Faculty conducts four academic years B.Sc. Honours Study programme in Statistics and Operations Research for students admitted from a separate window by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The aim is to provide an intellectually challenging undergraduate Study in the theory and practice of Statistical Science and Operations Research and to equip those students who wish to enter industry, commerce or public organizations with high quality skills required. This training would enable the students to proceed directly to fully fledged positions such as Statisticians in industry, commerce or public organizations, to take up trainee positions in accountancy, insurance or management.
Department of Statistics and Computer Science and Department of Mathematics jointly coordinate this programme.
