BSc Honours Degree in Statistics

Duration: 4 years

The students having followed the General Degree with Statistics courses in the first two years are selected on competitive basis, through an interview, to specialize in Statistics in the Year 3 and 4. The students admitted to the programme are expected to have a keen interest in the subject, have original ideas and be self motivated. Courses are taught in greater depth during these two years and students carryout a one year research project and take part in an industrial training of minimum 3 months during year 4.

Duration: 4 years

The department offers course units for Computation and Management Degree Programme (CM) which is being offered jointly by the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Management Studies. Students are admitted to the Programme through a separate selection criteria by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The department offers a set of course units specially designed for students admitted for the Statistics and Operations Research Degree Programme (SOR) through a separate selection criteria by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
