Dr Kapila Bandara Wijayaratne joined the department as a senior lecturer on 26th January 2021. He received his PhD from University of Virginia in 2019 and was working as a lecturer at University of North Carolina system. His expertise lies in the field of Experimental condensed matter.
Dr E.N. Jayaweera joined the department as a lecturer (unconfirmed) on 16th December 2020. She completed her postdoctoral studies at Sunkyunkwan University, South Korea in 2019. She was a postdoctoral researcher at Sri Lanka Technological Campus before she joined our department. Her expertise lies in the field of renewable energy.
Mr K. K. Dhanawansha joined the department as a lecturer (prob.) on 12th November 2020. He graduated with a first class from our department in 2018 and was working as a temporary demonstrator in our department prior accepting the post.
Dr. Dimithree Kahanda joined the department on 22nd February 2021 as a lecturer (probationary). She completed her postdoctoral studies at Rice University, U.S.A. in 2020. Dr. Kahanda obtained her PhD from University of Texas at Dallas, U.S.A. Her research experience is in the field of biophysics.
