The Zoologists’ Association of the University of Peradeniya, more popularly known as ZAUP, was initiated by the Department of Zoology of the Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya. At the heart of ZAUP is the message of wildlife and nature conservation. From informative talks by professionals and experts, to hands-on learning experiences in the field, ZAUP is a treasure trove of knowledge to animal enthusiasts, nature lovers, budding zoologists and ecologists. But ZAUP is more than just learning. We engage our members to share both knowledge, experiences and resources, especially with school students with a passion for learning and the general public.
