Dr. Kanishka Ukuwela: Biography
Dr. Kanishka Ukuwela is a Senior Lecturer in Zoology at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He earned his BSc (Hons) degree in Zoology from the University of Peradeniya and his PhD in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Adelaide, Australia. His research explores the diversity and evolutionary origins of South Asian reptiles and amphibians, employing a combination of fieldwork, morphological analysis, molecular phylogenetics, and population genetics.
