Prof. Dhanushka Udayanga

Prof Udayanga is currently affiliated to the Department of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Sciences, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. He holds a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and biotechnology from the University of Peradeniya (2009) and earned his PhD in Biotechnology from Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand (2015). He served as a postdoctoral Scientist at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Services, Beltsville, Maryland until 2017 and later held the position of Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Biosystems Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura until 2024. He is one of the top 2% Scientists in 2021,2022 and 2023 based on the Elsevier-Stanford Survey and researcher specializing in fungal systematics and biotechnological applications.
