The Science Education Resource Centre (SERC) houses both conventional and interactive type of exhibits with the aim of helping students in the science stream and popularization of science among other students and the general public. Exhibits and information are chosen targeting mainly science students but are displayed in such a way to mobilize the interest of the general public. These consist of permanent exhibits, interactive explorations, audio-visual and computer presentations. The visitors will also have the opportunity to learn from models and posters on various aspects of Science and Mathematics.
Currently the SERC conducts practical programmes for G.C.E. (A/L) biological science and physical science students. Practicals are conducted in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. Nearly 1200 G.C.E. (A/L) students visit the SERC per year.
