About Me

Currently the Dean and the chair professor of Statistics and Computer Science, the Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Graduated from the University of Peradeniya obtaining B.Sc. Special Degree in Mathematics in 1992 and joined the University in 1993 as a Probationary Lecturer. Proceeded to AIT, Thailand for reading a M.Sc. in Computer Science and later completed the Ph.D. in 2004 at RMIT University, Australia. Promoted to the Grade of Senior Lecturer in 2004 and Professor of Computer Science in 2013. My areas of expertise are in the fields of Software Engineering and Database Management.

Analysis and enhancement of SW metrics

Design and Analysis of Algorithms For Convex Partitioning of Polygons

Team members Mr. K. R. Wijeweera, Prof. S. R. Kodituwakku, Prof. Vaclav Skala

The main objectives of this research are to improve existing algorithms and investigate novel algorithms for the problem of convex partitioning of polygons. Speed of algorithms, parallelism, probabilistic geometry, simplicity, and modern environment are considered in this research.
