About Us

The Department of Statistics and Computer Science has been dedicated to the highest standards of education, research and community outreach since its establishment in 1996.

The department is part of the Faculty of Science and is one of the largest Computer Science departments in Sri Lanka with around 30 academic, technical and administrative staff. It presently caters for approximately 300 students per academic year.

Affiliation: VISTA Lab - Video, Image, Speech, and Text Analysis Laboratory University of Évora, Portugal
